I was surprised, it being Friday, that there should be so many people out and about in Carmel market. If this was Jerusalem, the town will be emptying for the Shabbat. But Tel Aviv is not Jerusalem. It was the weekend, not Shabbat and there was a party atmosphere. I was in for more surprises.
