Montjuic

High up a steep hill is the Montjuic neighborhood of Barcelona. I only went there because of the Joan Miro museum. I wanted to see what Joan Miro is all about. It's OK, if you don't have time, I'd recommend to skip it. We emerged from the subway to this huge sprawl of a city, a city of wide boulevards, huge parks and lots and lots of huge buildings. Be prepared to walk but climb lots of stairs. Luckily there are outdoor escalators scattered all over the place to help you explore. That was a great help, without which, we would have given up. The Joan Miro's museum was not easy to locate, we walked and walked, asked lots of people, before we finally found it. Joan Miro was a Spanish artist who paints modern art. He's OK if you're into modern art.
I think a lot of the Barcelona Olympic venues were here in Montjuic.

There's this building which we went up to but didn't enter. It's a museum.

A couple making out.

The view of the Montjuic neighborhood.

We had coffee and a bee fell into Sophie's coffee cup. She didn't know what to do, she didn't want to pay for another coffee but she desperately wants her coffee. So I said, 'I think a fly is dirty but I think bees are clean. Just take out the bee and drink your coffee, pretend you needed a spot of honey.' She took out the drowning bee and drank her coffee. We had a good laugh.

Thank God for those outdoor escalators without which we would not have made it.
