The Crypt

As I upload these pictures for this post, I thought to myself, 'what incredible pictures, the black slate and the grey stone together makes these pictures so incredibly beautiful.' Some of the most beautiful pictures I have taken are of cemeteries and crypts. This is warped thinking, I know. A little staircase to the side of St Mary's led to the crypt. It was very exciting to see it and we stayed a while down there. We've never seen anything like it. We've been to the crypt at St Peter Basilica in Rome but it wasn't anything like this. That one had a more eerie feel beacuse it was a graveyard albeit under a church. (St Peter, I mean) This one is older and its original residents are still there after hundreds of years.
