Wild meadows
The Tibetan grassland is at its peak in late July and August. Its green everywhere and wild flowers flourish. Its a vastly unpopulated area, the occupation is mainly yak herding. These are nomads that roam the grasslands and may move up to ten times in the summer. There are little festivals all over, the big ones being in Litang which we tried to attend and Yushu, which we might attend another year. They come together, wear their finery and have a lot of fun. Maybe marriages are being arranged during these festivals. Its a very endearing culture, though life is lonely and hard.
