Who can forget Petersham nurseries

What's the fuss about a nursery, a plant nursery but Peersham nurseries is known the whole world over and everyone's excited about it. The buzz is all about their cook and their restaurant, that reservations are hard to come by and the food is fresh, simple and great. We didn't have the pleasure of eating there, we were during the afternoon. We had a huge lunch at a Chinese joint in Soho, London before we headed to Richmond where Petersham is, just outside central London. That is pretty accessible, on the tube and a bus or on the tube and a half hour walk. The nursery had long battled the city of Richmond for its existence in Richmond. Richmond is a very small city and the increase of traffic would devastate the beauty of Richmond. They ask that visitors going to Petersham use public transportation and not drive to Richmond. Even now the traffic is quite horrendous in little Richmond. The city of Richmond has granted a temporary reprieve to Petersham, for how long they don't know. I'm glad, this way we could still visit. If they moved too far out of London it'll be impossible for us who don't drive in Europe to visit. We drive at home but not across the pond. It was the most pleasant of visits.
