Years ago I was in a medieval castle in the French Pyrenees, I saw these stone pellets and also an armor of chain mail.That was an interesting visit. This morning we were taken high up the mountains in Northern Jordan. Jordan is a land of contrast, the desert in the South and the lush mountains in the North. So on this foggy morning we arrived at Ajlun castle. As with all castle, it was sited at the highest point of the mountain with a perfect look out for whatever comes from below. Today it is being restored and is popular among locals. It is sited in a forest reserve with trekking possibilities.
