The first time I saw people circumambulating was in Xiahe, China. I saw pilgrims walking around a chorten up in the hills. It was an exciting sight, I've read so much about it and then right in front of my eyes, pilgrims were doing it. Wow, I thought, I've arrived. Here at Bouda stupa, pilgrims were doing their kora. It had a festive aura about it. I was thrilled to be there.
