I read that France is beautiful because of its rivers. Its true, the water irrigates the area and makes it green and lush. There is activity on the waterways, fishing and rowing. It makes for a very serene life. We have our LA river which by the time it reaches Los Angeles is a dry concrete channel. It is dry for most of the year. I leave the country so that I can view real rivers with water in them and the serene life that is supports.
