Kangding
We are entering a Tibetan world. There was a temple at the bottom of the hill from the hostel that we were in, there was another across the street from it. There were two up in the mountains. The one across the street had this huge prayer wheel.
There was this huge statue of a woman in typical Tibetan style clothing.
Locals hung out in every corner, fingering their prayer beads and chatting with each other.
Religious pictures were drawn on the rocks up in the mountain. The altitude was getting higher and this was supposed to be where we get acclimatised before going to another town that is even higher in altitude. We only spent a few hours of daylight here before we had to take another long bus ride the next morning.
Colorful prayer flags that the mountain side and waved merrily.
It was getting exciting for me, this was what I came for, to experience more of the Tibetan culture.
