Jerusalem, my first taste of the ancient city

After checking in to my hostel and getting instructions on how to take the tram to the old city, here I was, sitting at lunch in the old city. After hearing about descriptions of Jerusalem, there's nothing like being there. I was excited.
From my chair in the restaurant, I could see visitors ambling along the narrow alleys.

 The museum of King David.
The ancient walls of old Jerusalem, the Jaffa gate.
Shops selling kitsch line every alleyway.
The cobbled stones are as ancient as they come, being trodden by millions of people for centuries. There's no other place like Jerusalem.
