This is the entrance after coming up a series of steps.
It's a complex of temples with the main temple in the center.
There were gorgeous wood carvings all over the buildings. There were carvings everywhere, as one author described it, 'there wasn't any area that wasn't carved.'
They carved the wood, the stone and the metal, with mythical deities, writhing gods, fearsome and engaging.
What's this? It looks frightening.
Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple. It is the most amazing place. What's even more amazing, I was the only visitor. I was able to snap pictures with no one else in them. Unlike other temples where the throng of worshippers and visitors are everywhere.
