Lunch

Eggplant is featured a lot in Turkish cooking. This is very simple and absolutely delicious. The grain looking thing is a kind of pasta. You can just walk into any hole in the wall joint and find good food and cheap too. That's the beauty of Istanbul. Eating is easy in Turkey. The other thing that is wonderful is the Turkish Delight, they don't make it too sweet unlike how we make it in the West. They use a lot of nuts and that cut down the sweetness. Turkey produces 80 percent of the world's Hazelnuts and Turkish Hazelnuts are the best in the world. They hand out Hazelnuts on Turkish Airline and I could eat a huge bag full. It's worthwhile just going to Turkey to eat Hazelnuts.
