The tile museum boasts some very impressive pieces too. If one wants some tiles to decorate their palace or mosque, they should procure them from Iznik. Iznik boasts the best tiles in the world. There are some set patterns, like the tulip or the carnation. Did you know that the tulip originated in Turkey? I didn't think I would like the tile museum, I waited outside while Sophie went in. It was on the same ticket as the archaeological museums. She took a long time and I decided to go in. They have some really lovely pieces in there. These are just some that I intend to paint (one day).
