Back to the streets

We walked to the back streets and they were just as pretty as those on the main drag. There was a church and we headed towards to it and into it....

There was a wedding and the ceremony just ended and the wedding party was heading out of the church. We stood aside and watched and followed them outside. This was the bride as she walked past.

It's been a while since I was last invited to a wedding but I've attended a few over the last few years.... there was one in Avignon when we visited, another in Biot (near Nice) that we kind of attended and now this one...

This last hollyhock of the season is struggling to hang on....the weather is fast changing....it was cold and wet and the leaves are changing their colors....

This was the back side of the city walls and we are now heading out of Rothenburg, to get back to the train station, recover our luggage from the locker, and head for our last stop.... Wurzburg.
Now we can say we've been to the Romantic Road of Germany. There is more to see but we just didn't have the time.
As I upload the pictures and write about the trip now after months later, it still brings back happy memories. It gives me the impetus to go to work because I know in just 6 weeks I'll be back on the road again. Sigh.....it's a tough life, somebody's gotta live it....
