We finally made it to this beautiful city whose mystic has haunted me for years. Upon returning from this trip I have spent a lot of time delving into the history of the Balkans. I've spent a lot of time reading about holocaust stories since a lot of them involved came from this area. While we Americans have been demonized as Imperialists, we want nothing more than for people in the world to decide for themselves how they should live and be free from fear and terror. We want the same freedoms for other people what we have in the USA. While the Balkans are free of Communism they have a lot of catching up to do. I guess for every year behind the 'curtain' any curtain it is a step backwards. We will always remember our short interlude in the city of Prague and pray that we will some day soon have the oppurtunity for a more extensive visit.
