Sunrise over Goreme

We got up early on our first morning in Goreme. We knew the hot air balloons were about to go up. We didn't go on any hot air balloon ride, it costs 160 euros per person. We watched the sunrise from the hotel rooftop. Then it happened, the first one went up, the second and pretty soon the skyline was filled with hot air balloons. It was fun, just to watch. They stay up for an hour and t next set of balloons go up. Usually there are more balloons during the first hour, much less after that. Everyone who checks into any hotel is asked if they needed to sign up for tours or go on a hot air balloon ride. There are lots of services available for tourists

The locals are getting up also and from the rooftop we can see other rooftops. We can see the locals raking at whatever they were drying up on the roof. It was very exciting, we were about to embark on a journey that would change my life.
