A few thousand years ago, the first Egyptian Pharoah wanted to build a pyramid. They decided to stack the stone blocks on top of the other, first having a broad base and then taper the blocks till you get a pointed tip. But they wanted a pyramid with a straight side.
Just straighten the sides, but they miscalculated the gradient and had to build a bent pyramid. This is the bent pyramid in Saqqara.
Finally they got it, three pyramids with straight sides in Giza. I will always treasure our visit to Cairo. I will always remember Cairo and hope to return soon.
