A souk is just a market place. It is divided into different sections, each selling something different, you have the part for meat, for produce, for wood craft, for knick knacks, for rugs, you get the picture. One can just wander round and round and not get bored or maybe do get bored because they tend to sell the same kind of rugs, the same kind of knick knacks. I amd not much of a shopper and I get bored easily with shopping. Its a fun thing if its your first time in a souk, its a kind of novelty.
