This is the Haghia Sophia at night, our last night in Istanbul. We had just finished dinner and pudding nearby and was walking back to our hotel. We walked past the Haghia Sophia and Sophie took this picture. I left my camera in the hotel, it was too heavy and I've had it around my neck the whole day. This is a nostalgic picture. In fact the whole issue about and around the Haghia Sophia is one of nostalgia. It must have so grand back in the days of Emperor Justinian who commissioned its construction. Good bye, Istanbul but I know I'll see you again.
