We hung out by the Black sea promenade, had tea and chatted. A local couple shared their sunflower seed with us. It's a very popular thing to do , nibble on sunflower seeds. While Trabzon is sort of cosmopolitan, it would become more and more conservative as we head further east. The next day we leave for Eszurum and this is a very conservative city but no less friendly. The Black sea is not black, it is blue like any other sea. The sea breezes makes the temperature very comfortable.
