The cemetery in Rabat

Nothing could have prepared us for this. As we dwaddled around the medina, a Morrocan asked if we wanted to see the kasbah, we said, 'yes'. He pointed us to the top of the hill. It wasn't evident what we were to see, we knew the plage was behind the top of the old city. Then it came into view, the space between the water and the city was filled with this old cemetery. It was on prime land and as far as the eye can see, it was packed with tombstones. This is a huge cemetery and so beautiful too. Wow, this was so amazing. One has to be there to grasp the size of this cemetery. Rabat is so understated and only a few visitors who take the time to visit will enjoy this kind of experiences. The plage is also very beautiful which we shall see soon...
