La mere Poulard

This is the restaurant that serves the famous fluffy omelette that has been featured in all kinds of travel shows. There was a huge bowl of bronw eggs and numerous copper bowls and pans. They beat the eggs till light and airy in the copper bowls. The omelette is then cooked in a copper pan over a wood fire. They are very busy at lunch time and can't make those omelettes fast enough. We would hang around and watch and took lots of pictures. Then we headed up the monastery and would return to have lunch here. It was fascinating to see it in person. I've seen it on TV on a travel show and here am I, experiencing it in the flesh. Such is the stuff of life.
