Fringe dwellers

Life is more at the fringes. The population of China is so huge and to provide for jobs for everyone is an impossibility. No one depends on the government to create jobs, the government simply create an environment conducive for people to be engaged in some economic activity in order to feed themselves and their families. The Chinese government have long been involved in building up the infrastructure of the nation so that there is tremendous mobility and Han Chinese have been flooding into the fringe areas of China whether it be Xinjiang, Tibet, Mongolia or Yunnan province. These are areas where the minorities of China live. These are also areas where one can still see a little of the sky because the air in Central China is so polluted and smoggy that one never see the sky. It is so true of Beijing especially. I don't care for Beijing at all. If I had known I would skip it altogether. I enjoyed my trip to Yunnan province a few years ago.
