Kazakh pulao

It could be Uighur or Kazakh. These rice are found everywhere just like paella, except the meat is either chicken or goat or lamb. Pumpkin is usually the vegetable but sometimes carrots are substituted. The rice is served on a plate with the meat piled on top or in cheaper areas, it is meatless. It's quite delicious. This pulao is found at everywhere street corner and is so cheap. Food is so cheap in China if you eat like the locals. The vendors usually raise the prices for visitors especially for non Mandarin speakers. It's so wonderful to see the strange mix of people, Uighers, Kazakhs or Uzbek, all these minorities speak Mandarin with an accent. The Han Chinese thinks that our Mandarin is adorable, we have an accent too.
