There are local Han women hawking their wares, crab apples though they call it wild apples. Here happy tourists are willing to buy anything even these crabapples. We bought some and they didn't taste so bad. I remember the local women in a little village outside Budapest selling flowers from their garden at the railway station. We are in a money economy and we don't know what it feels like not having some cash, some hard currency.
