The ancient Agora

Nothing is left standing, just a bunch of ruins that denotes where the Agora once was. The Agora was the market place, where there's buying and selling, the gymnasium, the public houses and everything for commerce. It is a very extensive area and its now all overgrown with weeds. It is still a very spiritual place, if one comes alone, stay silent, one can commune with the ancient spirits, I think. It is still a very lovely area even though modern Athens is encroaching into its territory. Its below the Acropolis on one side and one can see the Acropolis above it. Athens is really a nice place and all we hear about it are bad things, from the assassinations of politicians years ago to the riots of today. Athens, I think, gets more bad press than it deserves.
