Another old Byzantine church
They are scattered all over Athens. We'll be strolling along and lo and behold another one..... another old Byzantine church. Some are very small, some are bigger but they do date back to the tenth century. Some are opened and it is so wonderful to go inside, even though it may be your tenth church. Each church holds the same fascination for me. I think we went in this one and there were some beautiful frescoes in it. Unfortunately I'm having trouble either with my memory card or with my computer, the pictures didn't load. The priest told me this one dates back to the tenth century, it must have been restored because it looked too good for its age.
